Youth Outreach

At the Jubilee for Young People 2025, Pope Leo XIV reminded us that “the Lord is gently knocking at the window of your soul.” He invited young people to open their hearts to Christ, to let Him enter, and to set out on the adventure of life with Him. Jesus, he said, is our hope – the One who gives meaning and direction to every journey.

As a diocese, we take this call seriously. Youth Ministry in the Diocese of Galway, and the Diocese of Clonfert, seeks to accompany young people as they listen for the Lord’s quiet knock and respond with courage.

We organise opportunities for prayer, formation, and service – pilgrimages, retreats, diocesan gatherings, and parish initiatives – where young people can encounter Christ and one another in faith. Through these experiences, they are encouraged to grow in friendship with Jesus and to share the light of the Gospel wherever they go.
