On Sunday afternoon, the 4th of January, at Galway Cathedral, we joyfully marked the closing of the Jubilee Year of Hope, gathering as one faith community to give thanks for a year rich in grace, renewal and many blessing.
The Pastoral Council is immensely grateful for all that this year has been and are encouraged by the extraordinary engagement with our Jubilee Information Hub. The number of people who visited, reflected and took resources centred on the theme of hope spoke powerfully. It became clear very quickly that hope is something people are searching for – and something we cannot give up on. Instead, we are called to keep cultivating hope in our parish, our families and our wider community.
As the Jubilee Year concludes, its spirit continues. Strengthened by what we have shared and received, we move forward with joyful hearts, committed to living and spreading the hope that comes from Christ, today and into the future. Amen.
