The Cathedral Parish in Galway was delighted to welcome Our Lady Queen of the Travellers Mission for an afternoon of prayer and spiritual renewal on Saturday, 17 October.
The Mission seeks to bring people together through faith, with a particular emphasis on healing, forgiveness and reaching out to those who may feel distant from the Church. Its gatherings are open to everyone, offering a warm welcome to people from all backgrounds and walks of life.
The afternoon included the celebration of Mass, prayer and the veneration of sacred relics, including those of St Charbel, St Teresa of Calcutta and St Padre Pio.
Those gathered also heard from Liam Stewart of Heal the Hurt Ministry, a faith-based charity he founded with his wife in 2017. Drawing on his own experience of recovery from addiction, Liam works to support individuals and families affected by drug and alcohol misuse, sharing a message of healing, faith and hope.
The Cathedral Parish was pleased to host the Mission and all who joined them for the afternoon.
