This afternoon, the daily work of the Diocesan Offices of Galway and Clonfert paused as we gathered in a spirit of prayer and reflection, preparing our hearts for the celebration of Christmas. It was a grace-filled moment to come together with the many people who serve on diocesan committees and bodies, as well as those who work closely with the diocesan offices, united in our shared mission of serving the people of our two sister dioceses.
Addressing those present, Bishop Michael offered these words of gratitude:
“Thank you to each of you for the generous and faithful service you give to our dioceses. Your commitment, care, and wisdom make a real difference in the lives of God’s people. As we approach the joy of Christmas, I pray God’s blessing upon you and upon your families. May the coming year bring peace and hope to your hearts. It is a true blessing for us to gather, even briefly, to pray together and to acknowledge the goodness you bring through your work and service to the Church.”
