Church of St Joseph, Oranmore

This modern church replaced an earlier one from 1842 on the same site. Designed by Cyril Bowman and built by James Farragher & Co. of Tuam, it was dedicated by Bishop Eamonn Casey on 4 December 1988. Sanctuary fittings by Ray Carroll incorporate elements from the old church, including two stained-glass windows, the Stations of the Cross, and the baptismal font. The cost was £250,000.
