We are delighted today to see Fr Paul Murphy, chaplain at Dún Uí Mhaoilíosa, Renmore, Galway, together with three of his colleagues – Private Dylan Geraghty, Corporal Daniel Padden and Private Ciara Shanahan – receive Distinguished Service Medals. Their bravery in adversity is an inspiration for all. We give thanks to God in a particular way for Fr Paul’s pastoral and spiritual service to the Army Chaplaincy, and we also give thanks for the dedicated ministry of chaplains serving in many other areas of civil society.
