The Parish of Portumna, Gortanumera and Boulla gather to give thanks for the years of service of Anna Browne as Director of the Parish Choir.
Following Mass for the Second Sunday of Advent celebrated by Fr Michael Byrnes PP, Bishop Michael made a special presentation to Anna in recognition of her years of service as choir director.
“You should be very proud of your wonderful choir here in Portumna. You greatly enhance the liturgy with music and song and raise our hearts and minds to God. For over forty-five years now Anna has been the powerhouse behind your choir. I am delighted to be here today to recognise here generous and faithful dedication to that ministry. Let us give thanks to God for Anna and let us pray many blessings on her and her family into the future. God bless you now and always Anna!” – Bishop Michael
