For more than seven centuries\, people have come to this sacred place to seek the intercession of Our Lady\, to light a candle\, to attend Mass\, and to place before her the burdens and blessings of their lives. In May above all\, Clonfert becomes a true place of pilgrimage\, where the ancient image of Mary and the Child Jesus draws hearts to prayer and to renewed trust in God.
